A clear healthcare referral process for injury clients
When a client needs healthcare after an injury, the clinical question should remain separate from the legal case. We provide auto accident chiropractic care and other appropriate personal-injury chiropractic care based on the patient's symptoms and exam findings. Our records document what the patient reported, what the exam found, what care was provided, and how the patient progressed. When the patient authorizes communication, the office can provide requested records and coordinate practical administrative questions.

Accurate medical records should describe the care, not argue the case.
Records that reflect the medical visit
The chart should accurately reflect the patient's history, relevant exam findings, care plan, treatment, referrals, and progress. We do not promise that a record will prove causation, defeat a defense review, increase settlement value, or produce a particular legal result. Accuracy and clinical relevance come first.
We screen and refer appropriately
We treat what is appropriate within chiropractic scope. Findings that suggest a possible serious head injury, fracture, significant neurological change, or another condition outside that scope are referred for the appropriate level of medical evaluation.
Authorized communication
With the patient's authorization, the office can respond to appropriate records requests and coordinate practical questions about scheduling, billing, and the status of requested records. Medical decisions remain between the patient and treating clinicians.
Letter of Protection for qualifying cases
A letter of protection may be considered for some qualifying injury matters, but it is a case-specific billing arrangement, not insurance and not a guarantee of payment. The patient should understand the written financial responsibility before relying on deferred billing. Our Ohio auto-insurance guide explains common payment terms, and our letter-of-protection page explains the clinic's LOP process.
